The COVID-19 pandemic and associated infodemic has emphasised the need for greater health literacy, to help people understand the decisions they make about "safe" behaviour, treatment, and vaccination. This session discusses how health literacy is understood, and how we may need to use some different ways of thinking, different frameworks to understand how people react in emergency situations. How do we bridge the gaps in understanding, to help people make wise health decisions, despite the deluge of misinformation? And how do we make sense of our own situation to make the most of opportunities for better information management now and in the future?
