How to Use the UN Digital Library

Alerts

Alerts can be set up to notify users when documents are issued or when new voting or speech records are added to the Digital Library. 

To create alerts in the UN Digital Library, follow these steps:

  1. Register for an account. Upon completing your registration, you will receive an email containing instructions on how to access the Digital Library with your credentials. Please note that this email is not sent automatically, so you may not receive the information immediately.
  2. Login
  3. Search (find more information below)
  4. Scroll to the bottom of the first page of search results
  5. Click on email alert

  7. Name alert and select the search-checking frequency (monthly, weekly, daily) and chose YES in the option below if you want to receive a notification email once a new document of interest has been added to the Digital Library

Alert emails are sent when new records in the UN Digital Library meet the search criteria of the alert-- if there are no results for some time (e.g. in the case of no veto being cast), you will not get emails until there are results.
